Cam Boozer told me at Summer League that he and Cedric Coward are ready to surprise everyone and lead the Grizzlies to success:
"He's such an easy player to play alongside because he's about the right things.
"I think we are going to be a lot better than most people believe."
“Cam Boozer may be an All Star but X prospect has the potential to be a superstar”
Is the most galaxy-brained stupid concept I can think of
Booze is a year younger than his peers and good at literally everything… ALREADY
The Golden State Warriors decided not to match Quinten Post's three-year, $30 million offer sheet with the Grizzlies, allowing the 7-footer to join Memphis, sources tell ESPN. The Grizzlies add Post to a reshaped frontline that includes No. 3 pick Cameron Boozer, Zach Edey, Isaiah Stewart and Jerami Grant.
Love seeing Javon Small run an efficient offense at point while Boozer is off the floor. He’s helped make some great decisions for others while also serving as a pull-up scorer from the perimeter. Don’t forget about him when weighing all of Memphis’ PG options!
First half thoughts on the Memphis Grizzlies
Cam Boozer is a special passer
Jahmai Mashack is an NBA player
Ced Coward is too good for summer league
Taylor Hendricks was fantastic
Cam Boozer response on becoming new Grizz centerpiece:
“I think that’s a responsibility that I’ve had my whole career. But the first thing you have to do is show up and show you deserve that.
"That takes work. That takes showing up every day and doing the right things."
One more Memphis Grizzlies player that really impressed me today: Jamai Mashack. Played a complete two-way game today, showing evolution as an OTD scorer, while bringing his defensive playmaking and motor as always. Pretty intriguing potential back-end rotation guy for MEM.
Walter Clayton Jr. was a first-round pick, but that doesn’t promise him anything on this roster. Javon Small was the second-round selection in 2025, but he came to play in limited time last season, and he’s doing well again today. Small can hoop.
Cam Boozer has drawn interior help on multiple drives and post ups now. He’s had some nice big-to-big passes. Impressive processing. One day those passes will be to Zach Edey.
Most Important Summer League Power Rankings:
1. Coward - can he look like he’s a tier above everyone else on the court? His development is probably most consequential for the team this season.
2. Clayton - rough rookie season with unfortunate circumstances - can he show ANYTHING? If not, might be trouble for his career.
3. Small - not as much pressure as Clayton but he can quickly make Clayton expendable with a great summer.
4. Mashack - have no clue how they’re handling Richie but a strong performance from Mashack might help secure his continued 2-way spot.
5. Lopez - no pressure but fans seem to know the least about him. A good summer league would be super exciting.
6. Boozer - don’t expect Boozer to pop off the page in a summer league environment and not really worried one way or the other about his performance. But always a little pressure when you’re the #3 pick.
7. Hendricks - we are super crowded at this position. If he looked great he might make a case for being in the opening night rotation.
8. Omax - I would be surprised if he played a lot and feel like he’s pretty secure as a cheap 11th man. Maybe he continues his improved shooting and makes a case for a rotation spot.
9. Cooper - valuable 2-way slot on a team that needs to lock-in a 3rd string center. Can he be that?
10. Everybody else - probably Hustle contracts on the way but anything can happen if one of these guys looks incredible.
GG Jackson is putting in work during the offseason 💪
The now longest-tenured Grizzly has a shot at breaking into the starting lineup this season

A lot of interesting players on the roster.
-Walter Clayton better come with something to prove
-I need to see a Coward playmaking and ball handling focus
-Hendricks needs to prove he doesn’t belong on a summer league roster early
-Mashack Vs Small. Who comes to play?
I was watching clips of Ja and man I’m going missing calling his games. It was a fun time and I’ll always be a fan. I’ve been a member of many teams so I know the business. It hurts but the Grizz have some nice young pieces to move forward with. Change isn’t easy but inevitable!

Thank you @JaMorant for 7 great years.
Some of the highest highs in the history of the Memphis Grizzlies were thanks to Ja Morant. The franchise has never had a star of his caliber, and it was a fun ride for many years. Really unfortunate the way it ended, but I’ll be rooting for him. Basketball deserves a healthy Ja
