@IfindRetards@JohnnyCaracy I have heard the argument that keeping the first round as a blank is good as a last ditch failsafe in case a little kid gets to it, but this is just miles and miles beond retarded.
@MatMvB Mmmm this hamburger is so delicious!
Wait, it's made with human meat!? *immediate gagging*
๐ How silly! You only thought it was gross after you found out how it was made.
@katy4congress Posting 3:14 of your opponents taking solid political positions while also demonstrating themselves to be relatable to the every man through a bit of dark humor has got to be one of the most sophisticated rake jumps I've ever seen. Truly one of the political moves of our era.
@bumbadum14 "We" achieved true colorblindness in the 90s and "we" also had race riots. The obvious key here is in the air quotes. The first "we" is white people specifically, the second is the nation. Black people haven't changed much politically since the 60s. They never were colorblind.
@MereLiberty Pregnancy is *the* biologically intended outcome for sex. Saying you can consent to the sex but not the pregnancy is like eating cake for every meal then sayings you consent to the flavor but not the fat.
@laverbreadtangl@Mikeydumusumeci@amazingatheist Protine synthesis is the CNC-analogous machine. More like 3D printing, but who's counting at this point? And technically I am not really even claiming a deity. Just that the mechanisms we see as they are look like the product of something intelligent. Maybe aliens did it. Idk
@lalotorresetc@El_Plato@amazingatheist Not every time, but absolutely can. And in the case of large protein structures there are a vast number of points that can potentially fail. In a world without functional genetic synthesis enzymes that becomes essentially impossible to maintain.
@lalotorresetc@El_Plato@amazingatheist That's not true at all. A single point mutation on a complex protein structure can make it completely nonfunctional. Some very simple polypeptides maybe, but nothing on the scale of ribosomes or the enzymes needed for complex protein synthesis.
@lalotorresetc@scoopy68720409@El_Plato@amazingatheist So you're using the old "we have no actual examples of this thing that definitely happened but there's no proof just trust me bro." method of scientific discovery? Sounds like some fath based science. Some science of the gaps.
@lalotorresetc@scoopy68720409@El_Plato@amazingatheist Snowflakes dont evolve and grow into self aware snowmen who then contemplate their own existence. The levels of complexity between a snowflake and cellular protien synthesis is vast.
@Mikeydumusumeci@amazingatheist Where is the evidence for that claim? Its not science without evidence. Do we have evidence for non-protein based life? Some example? Can we replicate it in a lab? Anything? Or is this pure conjecture because otherwise the entire theory breaks?
@laverbreadtangl@Mikeydumusumeci@amazingatheist It's quaternary code system that carries all the information to assemble highly complex 3D structures from relatively simple substrates. Outside of the context of biology and nobody is going to question if that's a fabrication system in the same vein as CNC/3D printing
