The final bell has rung and the 2025-2026 school year has ended. Our Fifth Graders have done the annual walk down the main hallway to signify they are ready for middle school. The 2026-2027 school year starts in 67 days.

It is the highlight of the school year: the Fifth Grade Graduation promotion at Meyerland Middle School. Excited scholars, educators, and families celebrated the end of the elementary school era, and the beginning of secondary education.

With Fifth Grade turning into middle schoolers this evening, Fourth Grade had their promotion ceremony this afternoon. In just one more academic days, they will be the top class at Red.

With the weekend upon us, it was a packed house this afternoon at the Third Grade promotion. There were plenty of parents who were excited to see their young scholars, walking in front of the audience to pick up their diploma.

It’s time for the next big jump for second grade. Say goodbye to the inside classrooms and now you are onto the outside annex for third through fifth grade classes. What an awesome milestone that you are halfway through elementary school.

It’s a big jump between kindergarten and first grade, but it’s even a bigger jump between first and second grades. Today, our first grade scholars were promoted with a full house of smiling teachers and happy parents.

The school auction is over, but the students keep on winning. Today was an ice cream party for some lucky scholars who made the shortlist. The weekend is upon us, with four more days of school next week.

Yesterday was the first annual STEAM Festival. Today was the first annual Staff vs.Students basketball game. Plenty of Bee Bucks were spent so scholars could watch. In the end, the score didn’t matter, but the fun for all did.

On our last Friday of the school year, our third grade scholars took a field trip to Funtastik Labs for some exciting STEM challenges to keep their minds constantly thinking over summer break.

Red’s first annual STEAM festival is off and running, with students participating in activities focusing on science, technology, and math. Bonus: the HMNS Discovery Dome is also here showing stars, planets, volcanoes, and dinosaurs.

Our first and second grade scholars took their final field trip of the year to NASA at the Johnson Space Center. There, they learned more about aeronautics and how the Earth is just one part of our solar system.

The first promotion ceremony of the school year was with some of our most treasured students on campus. This afternoon, our SPED student body received their graduation papers, signifying a huge milestone in their lives. Great job, group!

The student council is more than just a club that meets after school. It is a group of scholars which consistently maintain high character. Today was the final meeting so pizza was provided to help celebrate the good times from this year.

See to Succeed is a signature program by the Houston Health Foundation and the Houston Health Department. It provides free exams and prescription glasses to children aged 6 to 18 who are bused in from participating school districts.
