I am proud to announce that REMOTERune will be releasing publicly in Open Beta on August 1st 2026! Closed Beta testing starts on June 12th, and applications open THIS SUNDAY.

๐REMOTERune features several ways to host your server. You can either connect directly, in other words share your IP with your friends so they can all connect to your game client (fastest, though unsafe option), or you can use the REMOTERune Relay service.
๐ It will be a completely free-of-charge way to relay your server through the Server Discovery system, eliminating the need to share your IP entirely, replacing it with a simple invite code.
๐ก I'm currently looking into how such a service could be implemented, so that it could be open-sourced and so people can host their own relays in their own regions, which would all connect to the central REMOTERune server registry backend here in Warsaw, Poland.
Hopefully, I'll be able to implement this system sometime during the Closed Beta program.

i dont know why people find "vibe coding" not as bad as generating ai art, since both are stealing people's jobs (TERRIBLY, may i add, ai code is often riddled with vulnerabilities)
so i'm proud to say that remoterune is fully human made and ZERO ai has been used for it :3

Modding has now been largely implemented into REMOTERune. Character mods can now be created, and then viewed in-game via the Mods button in the Main Menu!
A utility to create and preview your own character mods will be available on the website in the near future.
Work is currently being done on the Custom Character API implementation for REMOTERune. Details about how the modding API works will be published on https://t.co/gVnqQG1PJT relatively soon.
Here is the promised completed Jevil playthrough video! Keep in mind there are still some visual bugs in his attacks, but they are fully functional otherwise.

Jevil is now fully playable from start to finish and 95% complete, with the only remaining work to do being balancing and testing. The fight works with no major bugs or glitches.
My networking engine, created for the mod, is now around ~80% feature complete and most major bugs and glitches (related to battles) have been patched.
I will be uploading footage of me, @2007duke1 and @Emer2ldd beating Jevil using violence in the current version of REMOTERune onto my YouTube channel as well as this Twitter account later today.
As of now, we are in a very exciting point of REMOTERune's development, as I have managed to get through most of the difficult parts of the process, such as laying down the groundwork, rewriting Toby's code, etc.
Going forward from here will hopefully be smooth, and I hope I can release a viable product to you all as an
Open Beta sometime around March or April. โค๏ธ
