#Pangolins do not have teeth; instead, part of their stomach is thickened and muscular, with keratinous spines, which assist with the grinding down of ants and termites. They also swallow small stones and grit to help with this break-down process! #WorldPangolinDay #SavePangolins

If you look closely, you'll see that this Philippine #pangolin has small white hairs between its scales. All four of the Asian pangolin species have these hairs, whilst none of the African species do, so this is a simple way to tell them apart!
