@youve_got Yes and you use that report to say "there are allegations against you that have reported to the proper authorities and there is an active investigation on going" you are banned until further notice.
I remember in 2020. I was in call with some smashers during "the purge" and they gave me a weird reaction when I said "allegations like these are for police and the justice system. Not the local TOs of your video game tournament." I feel vindicated in this response now.
@youve_got Like I said before. It's never easy but it is in fact a prerequisite to report the incident to the proper authorities for any justice to come to those victims. Plain and simple. The onus is on the victims to move forward that's what makes this topic difficult
@youve_got If mandatory reporting causes less victims to bring out SA claims. That's a sign of 1 of 2 things. Their claim isn't true or they don't trust law enforcement but Nothing will change if nothing is done. You may not like it, it's never simple but it is.. The world we live in.
@youve_got If you avoid the proper authorities the only thing you are doing is putting TOs in an awkward spot. If you hear of SA especially of a minor you should report it frame 1.
@youve_got Yes. And TOs should ban players from their with their own judgement of said player's conduct. However SA is another beast. I say this as someone with a job where it is mandatory to report SA. Playground "we don't wanna play with you" is not justice nor accountability.
@youve_got Yes and it is a hard ask of victims, and outright saying "this person is banned for unsubstantiated claims" is not a good thing either. Unfortunately we esports now and people are going the legal route. It sucks but it is the way the world is now.
@youve_got Victims should be believed but if they are not substantiated/investigated said person can and will(if able) run to a lawyer. The final image of their statement is literally proof of the point I'm attempting to make.
@youve_got Oh we should get rid of them. However acting like TOs have lasting authority and doing stuff like this does opens them up to the tpot method. Reporting things to the proper authorities literally solves things like tpot and this from happening.
I got hired at the point shopko months before it closed. Literally within 15 minutes(might have been shorter) in my first day, I got told straight up by one of the assistant managers "you aren't needed here" So I left.
@Nuhuhx like everyone will agree that steelix as a pokemon(mega or not) is poop from a butt and that talonflame set is something out of left field that I can guarentee noone calc'd for. Rest of the team is pretty standard.
I think the closest one can get to experiencing the grief of immortality is staying in a fighting game scene long enough to see your friends rotate out of that space
