As a child psychiatrist, I have grave concerns about this entire release, but this part in particular that got buried at the end:
“The province also announced parent/guardian consent for students under 16 will now be required to change a student’s name or pronouns in the school.”
@SLangeneggerCBC These policy changes, not based in any evidence, need to be challenged. Ask if they reviewed the peer reviewed literature on these topics or if they are making policy changes because a handful of vocal parents asked them to do so.
@SLangeneggerCBC Combined with their new sex ed policies we will have 1) more teen pregnancies, 2) more STIs and 3) more kids who don’t feel safe at school. Just what we need…
@LaborSpokane if you had a very short window in which to visit sites of significance for labour history in Spokane and Cœur D’Alene, what would you do?

@jburnford@SKGov It’s unacceptable and the same thing we have had to do for the last five years. It shouldn’t be that only kids with dyslexia whose parents have money can actually learn to read.
@prairietara Everyone is different. My kid had both on the same day and had a slight fever after. I had flu shot separately and had no side effects while I had bivalent yesterday and woke up with a fever and chills this morning.
