Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) Common With Long COVID.
A study published in Respiratory Medicine found obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) was common in people with long COVID, even without excessive daytime sleepiness, suggesting many cases may go undiagnosed without testing.
Researchers say there's a big difference between people who think they’ve never had COVID and those who truly haven't. Data suggest only 2–3% of people worldwide may have avoided infection, with many unnoticed cases due to mild or asymptomatic illness.

Victoria has faced its first Ebola scare in a decade after a patient from an outbreak-affected region of Africa presented to a Melbourne hospital with symptoms of the disease.
The patient was transferred to the Royal Melbourne Hospital and treated in a specialised isolation room while testing was carried out.
Health authorities have since confirmed the patient did not have Ebola.
The incident has prompted a statewide clinician alert, with doctors urged to remain vigilant for potential cases linked to outbreaks in Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The #Robodebt Royal Commission findings were handed to the shiny new NACC on 6 July, 2023 - 5 days after the NACC began operations.
But it took the NACC almost a full year to declare that they would not be investigating the Robodebt allegations of corruption.
It took 1 year to say they wouldn't be doing anything.
What exactly took them so long?
Why did it take so long for the NACC to say they wouldn't be doing anything about Robodebt?
It's hard to say but for one thing, the NACC was busy racking up $1.1 million in travel costs in its first year of operation.
It appears, that while the Robodebt investigation was of no importance, the NACC staff were however, very busy undertaking 124 separate 'presentations' around Australia and overseas.
Not sure what exactly 'presentations' are in this sense, but they certainly accounted for a lot of air fares and accommodation.
1 conviction.
Zero public hearings.
