The only occupant, a male subject, evacuated without injury. No injuries to fire fighters.
Cause is under investigation.

Last night, crews extinguished a fire burning in the attic space of a single family residence in the 700 block of S. Pearl St in Centralia.
Family of four evacuated without injuries. Cause under investigation.
No injuries to crews.

Occupied residential fire this morning on Kulien Ave.
One child home at the time of fire escaped to the roof from a second story window after being awoken by smoke. He was assisted down by a neighbor. Family dog was rescued from building and is in good condition.
Unfortunately, the family’s cat perished. The cause of the fire is under investigation. The family is being assisted by the Red Cross. No injuries to fire fighters.
Assistant Fire Chief / Fire Marshal, Richard Mack, retired from service today after 32 years serving our community.
