⚽ 🌟 Last week, we were delighted to support Meadow Park Academy's Sports Week as part of National School Sports Week!

Pupils enjoyed a fantastic carousel of activities, including football games, our popular football dartboard challenge, and Kin-ball, all designed to keep everyone active, engaged, and having fun.

Children embraced the Premier League Primary Stars values of being connected, ambitious, fair, and inspiring, earning rewards for their teamwork, determination, fair play, and enthusiasm. It was brilliant to see these values brought to life in every activity.

A huge thank you to everyone at Meadow Park Academy for making us feel so welcome. It was a pleasure to be part of such a positive celebration of sport and physical activity! 💙⚽

⚽ Premier League Inspires Careers at SCL Stadium ⚽

After weeks of preparation, exploring strengths and skills, CV writing and interview preparation, students from The Wren School attended the Premier League Inspires Careers Event at SCL Stadium where they took part in mock interviews with Microsoft professionals.

Alongside the interviews, Microsoft delivered an exciting team challenge where students had to manage a £100,000 football club budget — selecting players and managers while presenting their team, justifying their choices and keeping within budget.

Students also enjoyed a behind-the-scenes tour of SCL Stadium and had the chance to see the exciting pitch refurbishment taking place.

Students initially described feeling nervous and anxious ahead of the experience, but left feeling empowered and proud after receiving supportive feedback and stepping outside of their comfort zones.

A huge thank you to Microsoft for their ongoing support and to Rhian Burrell at Aspire for delivering preparation sessions and reflection workshops to help students make the most of this valuable experience.

WOW—what an achievement! 🎉

We are incredibly proud to share that our Emmbrook School group have been crowned Premier League Inspires Challenge National Champions, competing against 53 clubs from across the country at the National Finals held at Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Their inspiring idea began as a colour run featuring powerful mental health quotes on the back of T-shirts and developed into a meaningful campaign supporting young people’s mental wellbeing.

From designing shirts worn by first team players on matchday—you may have even seen these shirts during the warm-up of the Reading v Cardiff fixture this month—to creating a standout display that captured attention from clubs nationwide, their journey has been exceptional.

The girls have demonstrated outstanding creativity, teamwork, and confidence throughout, and we couldn’t be prouder of what they’ve achieved.

A truly well-deserved national win! 👏

After winning the heat stage of the Premier League Inspires Challenge, The Emmbrook School’s idea was brought to life with support from club partner @Macron.

The result: a one-of-a-kind warm-up shirt, created by young people to champion confidence and celebrate body positivity.

The men’s first team wore the shirts ahead of Saturday’s fixture against Cardiff City FC — turning a student idea into a powerful matchday moment.

From pitchside smiles to pre-match warm-ups, it was a moment to remember.

Phil Stafford didn't just run one half marathon, he ran two. First Wokingham, then Reading, clocking a personal best of 1:57:40 along the way. And because of people like you, every step counted for something much bigger than a finishing time.
Phil set out to raise £200. You helped him raise £265.

That's enough to cover a young person's FA Introduction to Coaching, First Aid, and Safeguarding qualifications, the three certificates that open the door to a career in sport with Reading FC Community Trust.

Ryan Robinson has been chosen as Reading FC Community Trust's Community Captain for his incredible journey from PL Kicks participant to Programme Lead as part of the Premier League's More Than A Game campaign.

He is one of 93 Community Captains nominated this season for the positive impact they have had in their local area.

Ryan is one of thousands of young people supported by Reading FC Community Trust through Premier League Kicks sessions in Reading, thanks to Premier League investment.

What a fantastic turnout for our Comic Relief Bake Sale! 🎉

Our Emmbrook School students did an incredible job not only baking but also selling their creations, confidently sharing their mental well-being messages with everyone who stopped by.

We’re so proud of the group for using this project to raise awareness and spread positivity.
