Also staff will have an app to show what ticket machines and ticket offices are closed in real time and charge a normal fare

The conductor job is here to stay the now but as most of the railway is electrified and the driver can close the doors if the conductor role was lost! Very few lines which are not electrified now!

I see it daily Kilwinning to Ayr people not wanting to pay! What is your solution just let it slide and the problem gets worse? Only effects short journeys & anything over £10 it doesn’t effect them anyway!

It’s the freebie merchants this is targeting and the amount of people who run to the front of train at Kilwinning because there going to Irvine is embarrassing and it’s adults who can’t pay £3
