Numbers don't lie.
📊 Ethiopian Airlines vs. The Rest:
💰 $7.6B revenue = bigger than EgyptAir + Kenya Airways + SAA + Air Maroc + next 15 African airlines COMBINED
✈️ 160 aircraft = 2.5x EgyptAir, 5x Kenya Airways, 17x SAA
🎯 Profitability? Estimated ~$1B—3rd most profitable in MEA after Emirates & Qatar

Addis Ababa’s transformation is just the beginning. With continued vision and dedication, our city will shine even brighter. Thank you to the leaders @AdanechAbiebie making this possible! #AddisAbaba#Ethiopia 🇪🇹🇪🇹🇪🇹
The Ethiopian Grand Renaissance Dam #GERD recently welcomed visits from religious leaders and renowned athletes, highlighting its significance not just as a source of power but as a symbol of national pride, unity, and self reliance. Their visit underscores the monumental achievement of the Ethiopian people, who came together to make this dream a reality.
Built entirely with the contributions of Ethiopians children, the elderly, the poor, and the rich alike the dam stands as a testament to the country’s determination and resilience. Despite immense pressure from Western powers favoring Egypt, Ethiopia made great sacrifices to complete this historic project.
Ethiopia’s right to use its own resources and its fair share of the Abay (the Nile River) has long been undermined and misunderstood, as if Egypt owns the water a complete lie. Ethiopia contributes more than 85% of the Nile’s water through its rivers, yet it has historically been denied equitable access. GERD is a declaration of Ethiopia’s sovereignty and its rightful claim to utilize its resources for the benefit of its people.
I am so glad to see that it’s finalized. GERD is a shining example of what Ethiopians can achieve when united for a common purpose.
