@mmpadellan In the context of Bessent saying it is only $200 extra for families facing higher gas prices - consider the following: Approximately 32% of Americans have zero emergency savings, and only 47% can cover a $1,000 emergency with cash.
@benpearlgolf@ryanmouquegolf I believe the issue is submerging the irons and shaft in harsh soap water where the soapy solution infiltrates the club and causes potential increased risk of weakening the club.
@TSN_Sports Marner is in the same boat as Kessel. Goes to a team where he is not the main guy but a key piece. And he delivers when playing against the 2nd or even 3rd line opposition. Both thrived and join a long list of Leaf leaders who went elsewhere and enjoyed success.
@LouStagner Consider building architecture. Why not build every office tower as a rectangular concrete structure? Would you enjoy living in that city? I suspect not. People react to physical appearances...including how a person dresses. You may not care but others do (including me).
@LouStagner Lovely response from the Buffalo crowd. Buffalo has played the Canadian anthem for all games even if a Cdn team is not playing. Cda-US personal relationships are deep. Current friction reflects political differences not inter-personal ones between everyday citizens.
@ryanmouquegolf Is not a team event “its own format”? Conceptually, 2 sides of a draw is analogous to 2 contributions toward a final product / outcome? Both have some form of a gap against a complete format. I concede your point if you also think match play is not a justifiable win.
@Jonny_Fairways@ryanmouquegolf If that is indeed one's shot pattern with the same club, then club up / down discussion is moot. I suggest this is an outlier example of a typical golfer and not relevant to the discussion at hand.
@Jonny_Fairways@ryanmouquegolf Who said anything about duffing shots onto the green. It is about playing the percentages and using your average distances to choose a club not one’s perfect shots. 6 million shots suggests amateurs play distances according to their perfect distances not average distances.
@Jonny_Fairways@ryanmouquegolf Golf is a game of misses - Ben Hogan. Tiger said if he hit 2 perfect shots a tournament, he was doing well. Most amateurs club based on their perfect hits not their average hits. Club according to your average not your perfect hit.
@ryanmouquegolf I think we are mostly in agreement. One difference may be that I believe golfers following your excellent guidelines clubs to hit the middle of the green on a back pin only to end up being short of the green because of avg hit (vs. perfect). The planned putt becomes a chip.
@ryanmouquegolf I agree with your points....but
...the issue is that many amateurs have an unrealistic view of their distances which is borne out by the Arccos Database. Players are perennially short of the green because they choose a club based on their best hit vs. their average hit.

@LouStagner Golf is a sport of integrity. At the pro level, every player should take responsibility for their score and sign it accordingly. It is not about the pencil writing numbers, it is about a player's signature that reflects his score, not a computer documenting it.
