Qatar National Library virtually visited Year One. The children learnt about Dugongs and World Environment Day. Sirenia wanted to make an outfit but she became entangled in marine pollution. The children enjoyed answering questions and designed a outfit for Sirenia's celebration.

We listened to a story 'If the dinosaurs came back...'. We drew our city using markers and made predictions about what would happen if dinosaurs came back. Some suggestions were 'They would help the firefighters put fires out' and 'They would take our dads to work'.

We have been looking at numbers from 11 to 20 and the different ways you can represent them.

After learning about Mary Anning, we became Paleontologists and searched for fossil remains! The children loved looking for fossils and matching to their dinosaurs (even if they were only pictures). We foster imagination! #nature #dinosaurs #fossils
