Then again puck is frozen before the Sabres player pokes at the pads. If the ref loses sight of the puck he’s supposed to whistle which is what happened here. Pretty clear cut.

@ABeducator @DrakeMT I think he was saying that if the Sabres player had not touched the puck they could have counted the goal, but since he pushed it in after the whistle they can’t call an inadvertent whistle. Regardless puck was frozen until the Sabres player poked at the pads

@pearlosnhlpow @YoungHart91 @habs_burner Matheson has played 25+ min in 33 games (reg+plo) this season and Montreal has 1 regulation loss in those games… he’s also got identical 5v5 offensive production to Byram. Not to mention he arguably plays the toughest minutes of any D in the league.
