A beautiful “Chaqchan Mosque”in Gilgit-Baltistan can be found in Khaplu. One of the oldest mosques in the region, the mosque dates back to 1370, when the area's population converted from Buddhism to Islam. It was reconstructed and turned into a jami-masjid during the 7th century.
