@Azzajak @centreGoalHQ You may be right. I do think he is very good, I don’t see him as elite. By rotational fill in, I mean he isn’t in their first 11 vs Real Madrid in a CL semi final for example. Nobody is irreplaceable. Let’s hope Villa have planned ahead, which to be fair they’ve done elsewhere

@BuendiaSZN Keep the faith. We have the main man in Emery. We had an aging squad and while there will be teething problems, we are bringing in quality. For as good as last seasons end result was on paper, look at the shocking dips we had in performances and results

He isn’t better than Gabriel or Saliba so will be interesting to see what happens as centre back rotation usually isn’t a good thing. Has been on the cards as he didn’t sign his new contract so hopefully we’ve a replacement

@MadMagpieNUFC @talkSPORT No mate, supposedly Emery wants a squad overhaul last summer. He has effectively been playing with Dean Smith and Gerrards team for 3 years. Now he is building his own. That said, I don’t think he expected Konsa to go, he’s had a new deal on the table for months
