Also… notice the blue stripes? They form when cracks or crevices in the iceberg fill with meltwater. That water can freeze without trapping any air bubbles, unlike the rest of the iceberg. Since there’s no air to scatter the light, it creates dense, clear ice that absorbs more red and yellow light—leaving behind that rich, electric blue color.
