However, @POTUS budget still includes the harmful #WeldonAmendment. Like other refusal of care laws, Weldon undermines patient health by prioritizing personal beliefs over patient care. It works alongside Hyde to interfere with abortion access and must be removed from the budget.
Good news! @POTUS released the FY 2025 budget without the Hyde Amendment. For more than 45 years, Hyde has blocked insurance coverage of abortion for Medicaid recipients. This move is important for ensuring access to abortion for everyone.
