@StephenFMT@JoshX378@bricey_2k When we got 13 last year I didn't see any tweets like this. Nobody was crying about us being mediocre or anything like that. Nobody was super disappointed saying we got slighted. I am saying the expectations should have been the same. Only top 5 should think they have a shot.
@StephenFMT@JoshX378@bricey_2k 50% more likely that we aren't in the top 4 than we are. Pacers and Nets had 52% chances at being in the top 4 and fell out. The Pacers don't even have their pick anymore. Doesn't make sense to me people reacting like Nets fans are when they had much better odds.
@JoshX378@StephenFMT@bricey_2k You can be upset about how the team is run. When I am in the lotto at 7 I expect pick 7. I am more upset that we moved from 7 to 8 than us not moving into the top 4.
@JoshX378@StephenFMT@bricey_2k Most people could use a million dollars that doesn't mean that when they scratch a lottery ticket that they are upset they only got a ticket back. Thats the way I was looking at this lotto. Hopefully we move up but I fully expected to stand pat.
@JoshX378@StephenFMT@bricey_2k I am talking about moving forward not from a fans perspective. None of those teams expected to move up in the draft and ok with sitting still because thats what was expected.
@JoshX378@StephenFMT@bricey_2k Which means they had a 60% chance they were outside the top 4. You understand that that means it was 50% more likely that we were outside the top 4 than in. On what planet would I expect it to happen. Had we had a 60% chance of getting top 4 I would agree with you.
@JoshX378@StephenFMT@bricey_2k The same reason that the Mavs, Bucks, Warriors, Thunder, Heat, and Hornets shouldn't be feeling down. All teams, besides OKC, that are in worse spots than us but had no expectation to win the lottery. The Clips, Nets, and Kings are the ones who should be upset.
@JoshX378@StephenFMT@bricey_2k What does these lottery results have to do with that? It was unlikely we would move up and we are a team that should be picking 20th.
@JoshX378@StephenFMT@bricey_2k My point is where does this come from. Understand that we are supposed to be picking 20th and we are picking 8th and 23rd. Why on earth would I be upset right now.
@StephenFMT@JoshX378@bricey_2k There are different types of disappointed. The type I am seeing is one that had an underlying expectation that we should have moved up. How many people are talking like we were slighted. You can't be slighted when your odds were 7th and 10th and you end up at 8.
@StephenFMT@JoshX378@bricey_2k Its not about looking at the bright side. My point is that we had the 7th and 10th place odds. You shouldn't expect to move up with that. You can hope that you do but being upset that you don't isn't rational. Add on that this means we traded 13 in 25 for Newell and 8 this year.
@JoshX378@StephenFMT@bricey_2k We are a playoff team with most of its core being under 25. We are adding 2 lottery picks to that. Being upset that a late lotto pick didn't end up top 4 is hilarious. The only teams with a right to be upset with this lotto are the Pacers, Kings, and Nets.
@JoshX378@StephenFMT@bricey_2k A non lottery team gets to pick twice in the lottery in back to back years and fans find something to complain about. This will be the first lotto with the new anti tanking rules. Both the Pels and Bucks will be in the back half of the lotto.
@JoshX378@StephenFMT@bricey_2k Idk why we are forgetting that we have this next year as well. We have the lesser of the Pels and Bucks pick. Both of which should be in the lottery.
@joe_cuervo@atlhawksenthu Nah this is just telling people how little you know. AJ is a combination of unfortunate events in his personal life and a coach that didn't prioritize his development. Same would have happened to JJ if he stayed under Nate.
@Gvx_Light@404Lo_ What did OKC do to build a winning culture? They were tanking on repeat for years and before that they spent 3 years in mediocrity trying to win with WB. So what did they do to establish that winning culture besides doing an excellent job drafting and acquiring picks.
@Gvx_Light@404Lo_ Proper rebuilding and development talk wasn't even a thing that was really understood or talked about in the NBA until after Hinkie in 2013. The NBA one sport where talent and fit will overcome culture. What did the Thunder show before they won?
