The biggest risk to crypto security might not be a quantum computer arriving tomorrow.

It might be users never upgrading their wallets in time.

That’s what makes Americanfort approach interesting.

When people talk about quantum threats, the conversation usually turns to replacing cryptographic systems and moving funds to new addresses. But migrations create friction, and some users may never complete them.

AmericanFortress is exploring a different path with ZKPoSP (Zero-Knowledge Proof of Seed Provenance).

The idea is to prove that someone holds the seed behind an existing wallet without changing the address or moving the funds, using a proof system based on hash functions rather than elliptic-curve assumptions.

If this construction holds up under scrutiny, it could offer a way to address part of the quantum-readiness problem without forcing every user through a wallet migration.

Real security isn't just about stronger cryptography. It's also about making protection practical for the people who need it.

Upgrading a Mint A Bear is not just a cosmetic step. On @PlayOnMint you spend $MNTD to move a Bear from tier 0 up through tier 4, and half of what you spend gets burned.

That burn is permanent. The other half goes to the protocol. Higher tiers carry more weight in the rewards pool and can boost Status rates on the account, but only one Bear links per account.

The catch is transfer. If the NFT moves to another wallet, the tier resets. The level you paid for does not travel with the Bear.

So the upgrade is really an account thing, not a pure collectible thing. You burn tokens to raise the weight, and that weight stays as long as the Bear stays where you activated it.
