Here I go again! Media siding with the supermarkets. All farmers want is a fair price, they’ve already upped the price for you as the consumer why can’t it filter down to us so we can cover costs?? #payfarmersfair
Retailers hiding behind the excuse of avian influenza is incredibly disingenuous when the major driver for a lack of eggs is down to retailers piling pressure after pressure after pressure on margins. Farmers have warned time and again this would happen but they wouldn’t listen.
Share this far and wide.. Avian Flu is not the main reason we’re in an egg shortage. Supermarkets doing as they please again. #eggshortage#backbritishfarming
I’m currently losing £7k a month because @Tesco still refuse 2pay a fair price 4 our free range eggs plus there is enough free range eggs produced in the UK, but selling caged eggs is simply no excuse & rubbing salt. Sort it out @tesco

We are in the midsts of a huge crisis in the #freerange egg industry. Feed prices, processing costs & AI are hobbling the industry.
Genuine concern that movement on egg prices aren’t going to be swift or high enough and huge financial losses are looming over the industry

@stormbell Hi Chris thanks for posting really interesting. Do you have the same data for July and June? Would be interesting to see as yields in general are lower and sunlight during grain fill we think has been a big factor in this. Thanks

Today I visited Barford Park Farm in Wiltshire to discuss Labour's support for British farmers.
Next week, Labour will vote to put Britain’s high food and farming standards into law.

Good use of @CertisUK sluxxHP frisbee as a loss checker. Combining Rames HEAR rape really pleased with the yield somewhere around the 4.5T/ha mark. @FrontierAg@anfarming@jimmyanderson91
