@JesseRogersESPN Maybe a low-spending team makes no changes but offers a mega contract to someone just to meet the requirement. Would definitely open up more money for players
@JesseRogersESPN So the biggest stars might not get as much anymore because the biggest spenders might not be able to offer as much as they'd like. But with a floor like that, more teams will be forced to throw more money at everyone.

Soto missing time hurts but the biggest problem the Mets have is Vientos. He had a hot first week but remove those 7 games and he's hitting .035 across 18 Regular Season/Spring Training Games. Hell, replacing his roster spot with another pitcher would improve offense.
