One day, Raila, son of Odinga, will breathe his last breath, we will mourn him for days and weeks, and then give him a befeating send-off in Bondo. That's when we will know what it means to be a Banana Republic. Appreciate him when he still can hold a government accountable on your behalf.
We really should start giving parents their flowers while they’re still alive. See how Raila was all in smiles as her daughter told his story in his presence. Worth your minutes!
Winnie Odinga is Raila Odinga’s true heir. She is on a mission. When she speaks, people listen.
The King is dead, but here comes the Queen. Long live the crown! 👑
Raila Odinga reflecting on his release from detention:
"That morning, I was told I was finally being set free. As I walked through those gates, I saw my brother Oburu waiting with a car across the road. But I told him, ‘No, I want to walk to the city.’ I needed to feel freedom again, to breathe it. It was also my way of mourning my late mother, who died of depression after my imprisonment. Though I was older then, inside I felt young, the fire of democracy burned within me. That moment marked the true beginning of who I am."
We laugh but this would be Kenya if Raila didn’t exist. All our neighboring countries & East Africa as whole are like this. We are really lucky. Once again Winjo Maber Jakom Wuod Nyalego❤️
