Thanks to @NoCodeCAIO for having us on to talk about some hot topics with AI in education. We really enjoyed predicting what will happen with AI in education and preparing for life after college in the next few years.
“AI shouldn’t replace critical thinking — it should amplify it.”
🎙️ That’s a wrap on Season 3 of the Exceptional Educators Podcast!
For our final episode of the season, we’re joined by Jeremy Hill, e-learning specialist at Richmond High School, alongside an incredible student tech team — Sophie, JJ, Annabella, and Matt — for a powerful conversation on what happens when schools stop banning AI and start empowering students to lead the conversation around it.
Together, they share firsthand insights on how students can responsibly leverage AI to support learning, strengthen critical thinking, and drive innovation throughout their school community. In this episode, they discuss:
🤖 Why schools should embrace — not fear — AI in education
🧠 How students are using AI as a critical thinking and creativity tool
📚 The difference between general AI tools and purpose-built educational AI
🎓 What authentic student leadership in technology integration looks like
💡 How Richmond High School’s student tech team supports educators and peers
🌍 Why responsible AI implementation starts with trust, collaboration, and digital citizenship
This episode is an inspiring reminder that students aren’t just the future of education — they’re actively shaping it right now.
Thank you to all of our incredible guests and listeners for an amazing Season 3 of the Exceptional Educators Podcast. We’re grateful to continue highlighting the educators, leaders, and students transforming learning every day. Tune in now for our season finale!

I am thrilled to announce that the Tech Team and I will be the keynote at the AI Symposium: Leading the Shift on May 12th in Indianapolis!
If you are an educational leader ready to move from "how-to" to "how we lead," I’d love to see you there.
The Tech Team is on a roll! We had 2 presentations at Northeastern.
Then one of our alumni dropped by.His junior year his highest grade was a D (ouch!).
He joined Tech Team his senior year, crushed it, and now he’s repairing electronics on planes for the Air Force. We R proud!
The Tech Team is taking a quick road trip to Northeastern Friday! 🚗
We are excited to spend time with K–12 educators diving into "Leading the Shift: From Chalkboards to Chatbots" and sharing "Tech Team Takeaways."

Congratulations to Jeremy Hill, our 2026 MagicSchool AI Educator of the Year! 🎉
Through his leadership of the RHS Tech Team, Jeremy created something rare. A space where students don’t just consume AI tools. They shape how AI gets used across their entire school. As Jeremy would tell you, his students have learned to use AI as a thought partner, not an answering machine.
His students lead workshops. They pilot new tools. They teach other teachers.
This is what responsible AI in education looks like. Not top-down mandates. Student voice driving the work.
Congratulations, Jeremy. You’re building the future and we are excited to see what you and your students continue to accomplish! 💜

A huge thank you to everyone for all of your support with the @magicschoolai AI Educator of the Year contest!
Voting has closed, and we will get the results Tues. Being nominated was incredible, and making the Finals was unbelievable. The Tech Team and I had a great experience.
My message to our team at @magicschoolai this morning:
The world is heavy right now. War is unfolding in Iran, AI companies are splitting over Pentagon contracts (and some educators are watching and picking sides), and job displacement fears are louder than ever.
I’m reminded that schools bear an extra burden during times like these as they try to interpret this for children while trying to make sense of all of it themselves.
That's why what we do matters so much right now. Show up for them with everything you've got, take care of yourselves, and know we’re all here for each other.
CongRatulations to Ms. McKibbin for completing Round 1 of the 2026 @magicschoolai March Madness!
You’ll notice her new badge is proudly residing under her badges from last year.
We R pRoud of you!
