Changed it up a bit for Read Across America Week! I shared one of my fav books, “Food Fight!”, by my favorite illustrator, @doreenkassel. Students were fascinated by 3 of the clay models used in the book. TY to the classes for having me! @roberthunterES @MrsHansenFRSD @lizashey

What a fun way to retell the first section of our book! Unscrambling sentences & filling in missing words & phrases. Students even practiced their fluency by reading & rereading phrases to be sure their sentences made sense. Can’t wait to read the next chapter tomorrow!
