New York City is one of the most visited cities in the world and has a uniqueness not found elsewhere. I had been to, or through, #NYC several times prior but was on business travel thus targeted and brief in nature. This time however, I was with the wife on her #BucketList trip to see the sights and experience the city. She is a country girl from Texas so to say this was an experience for her is an understatement. Breaking down all of her observations and inquisitions will have to be a post for another time; however, I did have a few insights of my own I thought I would share.

Planning your trip in advance is a must and organizing your itinerary by clustering sites together or proximity to the subway will relieve much stress later. It is very easy to lose your sense of direction when you're in the thick of the hustle and bustle of the city. People are flowing and your brain can get into sensory overload if you're not prepared.

Wife and I had a great visit to #NYC but I learned a few things I did not expect. 1) most people don't want to talk 2) most tourist do not speak English 3) when I did find people willing to talk, they were most likely visiting from the southern USA and had the same experience.

@StephenM Is there not federal charges despite the dereliction of the state to bring their own charges? This is asinine that this DA can get away with not bring charges to a grand jury.
