@RapeCrisisEandW I was in the audience, the entire experience was traumatic, it shouldn’t of been us the survivors and victims that were there. It should of been the perps that we’re found not guilty or with no further action taken against them.

All the normal platitudes shipped out “yes it is bad”, “ yes things do need to change”, “I’m really sorry you feel like that/were treated like that”. Due to the nature of trauma a lot of us will be left blaming ourselfs and questioning our self worth. #C4RapeDebate

#C4RapeDebate No real time was given to what real change should include, no time to real impact that sexual violence trauma has on women, no time to the reality of support that we get (a pack of antidepressants, two days off work and a phone number for a waiting list).

These types of debates need to had with perps who aren’t convicted or who are found to have no further action against them, with men in bars, with driving instructors, dentists, teenage boys at school and university, with our uncles, fathers etc.

@TonyBellew I’ve been listening to your podcast on anger, I’m angry to. As a victim of sexual violence I can assure you the life sentence is with us, the victims and survivors. If ever you want to interview a woman who’s rage isn’t understood or recognised in our world, I’d be open to it.
