We never cared about politics, built an entire industry out of nothing. We were right, central, left.

But what did happen is the Left got radical, and if you were not radical, say middle, you were now deemed Right.

Then Right became a crime in studios, and everyone was pushed out.

The Left doesn't dominate AAA gaming because they have more talent. They Left dominates because they stole it.

The video game industry was built by a significant number of conservative men.

The pioneers of the Western game industry came from all sorts of political backgrounds (many were conservatives). From a social perspective, however, the majority were generally outwardly apolitical. Politics would be discussed, but there were no meltdowns over misgendering someone, or because someone voted for literally Hitler. It was a completely different social landscape. People were able to politically coexist.

Then in the 2010s, far-left identitarians invaded the industry and, through bullying and cancel culture, forced everyone else to comply.

Two groups of people were negatively affected:
1. Political normies who just played along because they didn’t want to lose their jobs (probably 80% of the industry)
2. Conservatives who spoke out and were ostracized/fired/quit

After vocal conservatives were pushed out, you’re left with a company of 25% woke assholes and 75% who either didn't speak up or just didn't care. That’s when the decline started. The leftist purity tests became more insane, more people were pushed out. Now it’s all collapsing.

But the tide is shifting. I have so many people (former colleagues, industry veterans) reaching out to me because they are tired of this bullshit and want to see change.

More people will speak out and reject the woke identitarians. The industry will shift back to its roots. It’s just a matter of time.

Probably an unpopular opinion, but I don’t keep one in the chamber for my concealed carry pistol. Many gun enthusiasts do, but I don’t have a safety on this pistol, and I do have kids. In fact I don’t even keep the slide on my daily or a mag in it. I live in a not so safe area and should be ready to rock and roll at a moment’s notice. Sometimes guns can just malfunction. Best get good at assembling your shit and getting on target. Make it fast and fluid with consistent and frequent training. I reiterate, I live in a not so safe area. In a war zone, yeah, keep one in the chamber and your firearm fully assembled. Thoughts?
