She was working as a personal assistant before taking a dancing job at a club in Richmond, Virginia, where established adult performers would regularly make guest appearances.

To Richelle, their lifestyle looked glamorous.

So she studied the business, made a game plan, and entered the industry at 21.

Nearly 19 and a half years later, she’s still in it.

But when Lena asked what the industry was like before OnlyFans and social media, Richelle revealed just how different things used to be.

“We were doing 25, 28 scenes a month.”

She said the workload got so intense that she’d have to ask her agent for time off just to rest or get her nails done.

And building an independent online following?

Forget Instagram. Forget TikTok.

“We literally just had MySpace.” 😭

Richelle explained that feature dancing, club appearances, and events were essential ways performers made money back then.

The conversation revealed how much the business has changed from an agent-controlled industry to one where creators have more opportunities to build their own platforms.
