I had drinks yesterday with 3 old friends who had stopped speaking to me because my politics are “wrong.”

They’re diehard Democrats.

They said they will vote Biden in 2024.

I don’t know what to do.

I don’t know how to process the idea that people will still vote for a president no matter what harm he does to them.

I don’t know how to reconcile the fact that 3 of the most politically savvy people I know want another 4 years of this senile maniac.

And most importantly, I don’t know why we even bother voting anymore, if it’s not to achieve the best outcome for our nation, but rather to just “win at all costs.”

I’ve gotta do some serious thinking right now because if people want Biden NO MATTER HOW BAD A PRESIDENT HE IS, then we’ve got a serious problem with our political system.

We have become the country we used to joke about, and fought against not becoming.
