Google Photos makes me so sad. It was such a good product when it came out. Now every time I use the product I feel like it lost the plot on what the critical user journeys it was supposed to support. I don’t want stickers. I don’t want creative re-editing of my photos.
Tried saving. Nowhere in Google Photos. Tried downloading. Nowhere in Apple Photos. I ended up creating a new album with the shared photo. Now it tells me the “album is syncing”. Like WTF
@ok6ixx As a JP person there's a few things that I'd add:
* I empathize deeply with the feeling of stress when you lose something, and the delight in finding it again. So we want that to happen to someone else, even if we never know them.
* It just feels icky to use someone else's stuff
