On 24th June 2020, graffiti reading ‘RIP SENI’ appeared outside Bethlem Royal Hospital, London. This film is a reaction to that event. Coming soon. #RIPSENI
Join us this Saturday, 12pm at Trafalgar Square for the annual

Good to see @MaudsleyNHS and @rcpsych coming out publicly on this. #ABD has been cited by the Lewis Family and @marcia_rigg (among many others) as being used disproportionately against black men. https://t.co/1luZG902Do
After years of campaigning Seni’s Law passed through parliament in 2018. However, the law needs guidance alongside it to be implemented in mental health units properly.
The consultation period on this guidance ends on August 17th, share your thoughts: https://t.co/oJG3WeGnmn
Seni Lewis died after being restrained on a mental health ward by 11 police officers.
His mother Ajibola calls on people to get involved with the consultation on the use of force in mental health units.

Thank you to @theguardian for giving our film this platform so more people can learn about Seni’s story and the ongoing fight for justice.
As I was elsewhere at #SheffDocFest2021, caught @RIPSENIFILM online last night.
Vital short film about racism in mental health services and it’s impact. The eloquence and courage of the families blew me away.
If you run mental health services, as we do @SYorksHA, a must-watch
‘There needs to be accountability. There are ways of stepping back, thinking. Seni was restrained for 45 mins. Let’s change it’ - Aji Lewis. #SheffDocFest2021
