As the heartbeat of Mundelein's basketball squad, sophomore guard Casey Vyverman has been nothing short of phenomenal this season 🏀. Running the show as point guard, Casey averaged a stellar 15 points, 3 assists, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals per game, showcasing that her game is as complete as it is impressive.

With a highlights reel that's a masterclass in sharpshooting - think multiple games with 5 threes! - Casey has proven she's a downtown menace no defense wants to fac​e.

Corinne Reed, a junior guard for the St. Charles East Fighting Saints, has been a powerhouse on the hardwood this season. She's not only shown incredible resilience in every game but has also led her team in rebounds, averaging a tenacious 6.4 rebounds per game. Her defensive prowess doesn't stop there; she's also averaged 1.8 blocks per game, a testament to her all-around gameplay and strategic defense.

As the Fighting Saints battled through a tough season, finishing with a 19-13 overall record, Reed's performances have been a consistent highlight. Despite the team's challenges in the conference with a 6-8 record, her leadership and stats have stood out, contributing significantly to the team’s successful season.

The season may have ended with a sectional semi-finals loss, but Corinne's ability to perform under pressure was evident. Her energy and agility on the court, coupled with her keen sense for the ball, have made her a crucial player for the Fighting Saints and a prospect to watch for the future.

Midwest Elite EYBL 2024 Season Information

Attention parents and young athletes in the Midwest: Midwest Elite EYBL is expanding our basketball program to include opportunities for young girls from kindergarten through high school.

For Aspiring Young Athletes (Ages 5-9): Our Future Elite program focuses on teaching the fundamentals of basketball in a supportive and constructive environment. It’s the perfect place to start for young girls to learn and grow in the sport.

For the Growing Competitors (Ages 10-14): Building on the success of our inaugural seasons for the 13u and 14u teams, the Elite Youth program is ready to nurture top talent, fostering skills and relationships on the court.

For the High School Athletes: Our High School program seeks talented individuals aiming to compete on the Nike EYBL circuit, offering unparalleled exposure and competitive experience.
