That is not entirely correct.

Hastie opposed Labor’s original hate-speech provisions. He worked with shadow home affairs spokesman Jonno Duniam on the changes and after the Liberals negotiated the removal of the provisions he opposed he voted for the substantially amended anti-hate/extremism bill that remained.

It follows our national security requires in part more selective immigration to ensure our survival.
