Enjoyed giving a talk to the @TheGEAcademy yesterday on my path to publication with The Book Guild. I write in the genre of teen historical timeslip, not an easy sell! But thanks to the Book Guild my books are available online and from all good bookshops. #fantasy #History

So it only took a few years to finally get this thing on a shelf in the madhatter bookshop in Burford. Book? ✔️ Recipes, stories, laughs, accolades and some sad stuff has all happened in the last 30 years. If your a pro cook you’ll love it, if not? It’s a great doorstop 🤣

My story made it to print! I picked up the papers last week and stared in wonderment at the page about me and Hexed. I keep shaking my head in disbelief. ‘This is really happening,’ I have to keep telling myself! #author #writer #debutauthor #debutnovel #hexed #press

@vashti_hardy @BookGuild Thanks @vashti_hardy It was a long journey but definitely worth it!

https://t.co/Xb2GNH41Oz Robert E Howard (1906-1936) is an author whose books I read in the 1970s and who greatly influenced my writing. He created many memorable characters and is considered the father of the sword and sorcery genre. @BookGuild #amwriting #WorldBookDay2023

[RJMadon @RJMadon]

https://t.co/Xb2GNH41Oz In the run up to #WorldBookDay2023 here is a book I read in 1979 which had a great influence on my writing. This is The Night Land by William Hope Hodgson. A seminal work of fantasy and science fiction written in 1912. #amwritingfantasy

I'm now told by the good folk @BloomsburyHist that there are still copies of the 2021 'Alternatives to Appeasement' paperback available on their website - as well as the older hardback and ebook, of course. 😀 #historybooks
