Today , on National Day of Remembrance for Murdered Victims, we honor the memory of so many in our community who were taken too soon by senseless gun violence. #EnoughisEnough
Food insecurity continues to be a reality in our community. With the support of our donors, partners and volunteers, we have distributed nearly 130k meals and close to 19k bags of groceries to students and families in need. #MDCPSWellness
Today is Breonna Taylor’s birthday. We remember a strong, young woman who was driven to work as an EMT so she could make a difference. Her life was unjustly ended at the hands of police, and we will work so her legacy lives on. As we #WearOrange we also #SayHerName.
Today, we #WearOrange to remember the beautiful souls we have lost to gun violence and as a sign of our commitment to ending the suffering that violence brings to communities nationwide. By making our voices heard & working together, we can achieve life-saving progress.
I #WearOrange today for my son Jerry, whose live was cut short by Gun Violence. June 12 will mark 4 years since he was shot and killed at Pulse in Orlando. I miss him so very much every single day. We can live better than this. #EndGunViolence#FlaPol@MomsDemand@Everytown
