@largacty1@Boudicca_uk_ua@sharrond62 Because excessive legislation in this area risks being highly counter-productive. Making it costly to employ women means we will get less opportunity, and men more, effectively reversing the progress thats been made in equal opportunities.
@DreyfusJames@jonlis1 Mr Lis is always great value, linking unconnected things together to suit his woke agenda. If he'd stuck to the subject then he should have pointed out that the wolf's parents need a licence to keep it & must separate it from other children. As such this wolf must be expelled.
@Ed_Miliband Far too many lies to respond to here, but to say that in 8 weeks you "secured the most successful renewables auction round ever" when these bids were in by April after the previous govt increased subsidies, is a pretty obvious one. You really are shameless.
@DreyfusJames@YouTube Haha brilliant! Took me right back. Good old Roger. Mind you, he caused great controversy back in the day by "mis-rivering" Durham, in his song, Durham Town, A sign of things to come, methinks...
@vinceninn @TalkTV@AvaSantina It's dreadful. Jeremy Kyle is an awful presenter, thinks he has to make a "joke" every time he speaks, shouts too much and knows very little about politics compared with other presenters. Bring back Mike Graham to the morning schedule or I'll be off for good. What a mess.
@happyhardwick@TalkTV@JuliaHB1 Good point. I've seen articles about this over many years, & Panorama covered it in 2022, but it seems that only now, after the ITV drama, are radio/tv stations like Talk picking it up. TV News outlets have huge reach - it seems as if they almost ignored this scandal till now.
@Jamal06122771@mrgordonburns There's always been a wide range of abilities and experience across the celebs. This time, though, the audience felt that Layton was just too advanced for the competition. Whether it's fair or not, the public have always loved a "journey" and tend to vote that way.
@ElijahMurlor Of course I can see there are prejudices in wider society, being a middle-aged woman who's experienced different cultures, places and beliefs, many of which are within my own circle of friends/family. SCD is an entertainment show where the "journey" is valued more than difference
@ElijahMurlor Sorry, I don't agree. Everyone I know who watches SCD has the view is that he was a professional dancer to start with, and they weren't going to vote for him purely on that basis, because of the improvement of others. Wrong, possibly, but a widely held view and nothing new.
@ElijahMurlor Couldn't care less about his sexuality - in fact I absolutely love him, but Strictly is littered with champions who might not be the best in terms of talent, but resonate with the viewers. That's the whole point of it.
