I have so much to say about this.
Trading is essential to the health of a TCG, and I want to take a second to sing its praises and advocate for bringing it back into our culture. So I guess here is yet another patented RJ Has Opinions Threadโข๏ธ

OK real talk, why does no one trade at locals no more? Like literally I bring a binder and it's cricket noises. Everyone always traded pre Pandemic and now I feel like it's only like 1-3 people in a store MAX
@G5_Trash Oh to be clear what I mean is that calling and writing emails and protesting aren't really action. Real nonviolent action is like labor strikes and valve turning and destroying hostile architecture and mutual aid and shit like that.
@G5_Trash I understand and agree with what you're saying, but I do want to point out that there is a huge difference between nonviolent direct action and what is effectively public begging.
I'm committing to it. Later today I'm uninstalling Twitter.
I won't be deleting my login, but I will only access it on the rare occasion I'm on my laptop. It's just time. It's fun making funny posts for y'all, but it's just not worth keelhauling my brain for hours of my day.
And the latest bs Yugioh discourse that won't result in consequences or an improvement for the community really solidified for me that my life would be better if I only deal with this shit secondhand. I love Yugioh, and I love my locals, and I love making things. Imma do that.
@TheDBGrinder This thread isn't about AI or capybaras. It's about people with clout losing their cool in the face of criticism. When you're in the hole with public opinion, you don't need to dig deeper just to prove you can't be moved. It's better to log off for a day or two and think.
@Bandiblorp That's how mine always used to be organized, but I kept finding myself tearing up my room for cards that could be in multiple formats. This hierarchy hopefully should mean that I only ever have one box to check for each card.
And there it is, folks. The reconstructed Spice Rack, organized by type, attribute and archetype.
[Not pictured: 6 tins also organized that way and stacked neatly inside my desk]
One horrifying revelation from this exercise: The left pile is all my light support. The next is all my dark support. The one on the far right is all my chaos stuff.
The middle right is all my Ghostricks.
