@Ovajay it’s great for them imo, if zuffa stayed in its lane and played the role of a high-scale probox itd be great. unfortunately, they want to buy out boxing instead
@wagwan9090 Im even saying ppl say “as a boxing fan this should make you happy” lol. I can’t even knock it or hate on em, not even Floyd was this good at talking his way out of criticism
ppl see it that way because they’re adding unlikely stipulations in the last minute. Shakur’s been adamant on not fighting at 147 if not for a rehydration clause. You can call that pussy if you want but Dev knows that’s a dealbreaker for him so fighting immediately after-
@Hassanwellss@TheKidIrv24 Bro, how the hell is this a duck move? He wants to fight both Keshawn Davis and Shakur Stevenson. Shakur said he wants to fight Devin. Keshawn said he wants to fight Devin. He’s willing to fight them Both. Kur first then Keshawn Keshawn first then kur he said it doesn’t matter.
Only someone thats elite at PR can come out looking like the good guy in that situation. And only someone thats as bad at shakur at PR can end up looking like the duck after all that
You can see the levels whenever they’re going back and forth with Shakur. Most boxing fans don’t know that Shakur enforced his mandatory at 135, a good amount of em think him turning down 25% was where negotiations ended.
@JhusLeftarm They SO good at picking their way through smoke, they actually have everybody convinced that theyre the ones being avoided. As much as I see through the bullshit, I have to acknowledge how much of an absolute mastermind Bill Haney is. Its actually insane the way he manipulates
@BizzAdult I feel like Bill trying to create obstacles to not fight Keyshawn by proposing the idea of a double contract but at the same time if Shakur’s such a big guy who’s “too big for Shock” (but not too big for Tank), well that double contract should be perfect for both Kur and Key
this is also why i thought fighting Frank Sanchez in an eliminator woulda been too much too early for Itauma. Hrgovic is the perfect bone to throw him: world level but he’s a known quantity and fairly limited.
definitely an exception not a rule imo. For every Shock foster, there are multiple David Prices. It might be too early but Jared Anderson doesn’t seem like he’s even been focused on boxing since his loss to Bakole a couple years ago. I’d even argue-
that Anthony Joshua beating Charles Martin for the IBF belt hindered his development in a way, he had so many holes in his game and he immediately got thrown into a situation where he had less leeway to cherrypick opponents that can develop certain traits

@YOUNGOG324@callmesatty_@ibleedboxing i watch the sport, i dont follow all the drama lol. and ive been off twitter the past couple days can you link the interview?
@YOUNGOG324@callmesatty_@ibleedboxing When has shock said they weren’t in negotiations? And announcements don’t happen until the fight gets made, fights do not get made in five days lol these are two guys with different promotions.
@KirtisZak@wagwan9090@BizzAdult it would i just dont think kur would get much credit for the win. regardless, he gave his word he gotta own up to it and make the fight
i mean, nobody cares about any of the non-major belts nor list them as relevant accomplishments anyways. Boxing becomes much simpler once you start viewing those belts as stepping stones rather than major accomplishments. Think of it like the IC title in WWE
