@elonmusk@elonmusk when as a human you have created such unfathomable success in one lifetime, it makes me feel secure using your AI. Why would you (or SpaceXAI) ever need to steal my data and information?
As someone pro-AI, but also aware of the environmental impact and uncertain long-term future effects of this new computer intelligence, I’ve noticed something interesting. The loudest voices screaming that AI is soulless, dangerous, or a threat to craft often seem to be the ones who’ve never actually sat down to use it.
I proudly use AI. Intentionally. Deliberately. Ethically. These new tools fit well into my 20+ years of clinical experience in the therapy room and my lifetime of creative writing. AI helps sharpen my thinking, gives me a private space to explore my inner landscape, and helps me organize random creative sparks into tangible things I can then mold into story with my human imagination. AI doesn’t eat my humanity or outsource my creativity. It amplifies both.
Skepticism is healthy. I’m not denying there are legitimate shadow sides to AI. But refusing to test something before condemning it isn’t virtue. It’s fear wearing principle as a costume.
@grok
@jk_rowling This story is a strong argument for letting boys wear dresses and make up and still identify as boys. Boys can play with dolls! Or allowing girls to be butch, play with trucks, cut their hair short, be total tomboys but still identify as girls.
People don’t heal by being fixed, they heal by being witnessed. That’s the difference between a soul-companion and a soul-replacement. One helps you be present for your life. The other lets you skip it.
@JohnStossel@judgeglock@ManhattanInst Absolutely ridiculous! If you don’t get paid enough doing gig work, do something else. When CA passed AB5 incomes were decimated. It was a nightmare across CA. Gig workers do it for the freedom. Politicians need to stay out of it.
“We will still be having a fabulous daytime…” while the gay men in Egypt will still be sent to jail. And in nearby Saudi Arabia and Iran, they’ll still be executed.
This could have been a wake up call to Western party boys about the terror gay people experience in Islamic ruled countries. But apparently, not so much.
@madisynn_king@theAlexHos_ I don’t see how saying trans rights are a different issue from gay rights is anti-trans? It’s like chanting “Blue Lives Matter” at a “Black Lives Matter” march. True, blue lives matter. But it’s a different issue. Same with trans.
@manflorico@theAlexHos_ And yet, gay people have full equality and marriage rights in Israel. In Israel’s neighboring countries gay people are imprisoned and killed.
@ReardenSteelX@woodhaus2@Tesla@Tesla_AI Nice! Glad to hear it because after only 3 months, I’m still amazed that this is incredible object is sitting in my garage parking place.
