@iknowthewords Hey Charlie! I just noticed that your profile states that you are ex-Jam Tarts choir. As the former bass player in The Jam Tarts (circa 1983), plus your AAA t-shirt, I'm wondering if we might have a mutual acquaintance?
@davidhepworth I can not think of another novel that sums up what it feels like to be a musician as well as this one does in its last couple of pages. A marvellous book.
@CatrionaClarke @ATDazzles@NationalTheatre Well, that was a treat indeed! It took me a while to adjust to Hawley's lonesome troubadour tunes being sung by people other than him, but - once I had - it is a lovely show. Great staging too.
@laurenlaverne@BBC6Music 'Panic in the World' by Be-Bop Deluxe. An overlooked New Wave single by a band who (until that point) were anything but New Wave. https://t.co/KD4fguGKfW
Had @youtubemusic on shuffle today. It played @MeltYrselfDown's 'Crocodile', then 'I'll sink Manhattan' by @tmbg ('...tiny tears flow from your crocodile eyes'), followed by Nick Lowe's 'Heart of the City' ('... where the alligator roams'). Coincidence, or very smart algorithms?
@CatrionaClarke You have my sympathies. I got hit by the worst flu-bug I think I've ever had last Thursday, and have only just started feeling like functioning human being again today.
@giovannibellini@TheWeekUK Leftover wine is a myth. Once a bottle has been opened it has to be consumed the same evening otherwise you will antagonise the wine gods.
