@ncustisTheSun Yeah but you're a joke of a "journalist" and your track record of getting things right is beyond shit at this stage so yeah, we'll take his side over you and your poor excuse for a paper.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says he has spoken to Sir Alex Ferguson. Recalled the 5-5 at West Brom and said: "I want us to play with courage, for the players to express themselves and take risks. I want the players to be the kids who love to play football."
If you had to pick one game to sum up our season this would be it. We look hopeless at times, then we play a bit better, give you hope then go back to being crap again. The passive play, players standing not knowing what to do with the ball is the cherry on top of the shit cake
@kul That final was coma inducing, awful. But you're right and it's going to take a visionary coach to change the current trend of football, something I don't see happening any time soon though. Most of the younger managers prefer attacking football, so it's going to take a big change
Maybe I'm being harsh, but Mourinho is just so uninspiring. The leagues over, second spot pretty much secured and yet we settle for draws and playing slow, disjointed football. Why not give the youngsters a go? Give Martial and Rashford another chance to redeem themselves?
@kul I think that style doesn't work in the modern game anyway. I can't even remember the last time a defensive team won the champions league. It's usually attacking teams that make it into the finals either way. That tells you the current trend of football is
@kul I think the positions players play in are overstated. Under the right system and management good players will perform. City seem to be doing it just fine, so are Barca and Madrid. We're far too rigid, players hardly interchange or move around to find space. That falls on Jose imo
@kul I can see next season going just like this one with a few improvements coming from the new players but we'll have the same problems again. The interesting thing will be to see if top 4 is enough for Woodward to keep Jose. I hope not, it would be a good time to change things
@kul We really should. I think he's struggling with modern football a bit. Jose got the tactics wrong a few times, which is very telling. The Chelsea team that won the league under him were far from great too. Can't help but think he's kind a past it. Should have changed his staff imo
@Andreas91L I only meant it in the terms of the crap, overly defensive football we were playing under Moyes. I thought Jose had a plan for Pogba, I thought Jose had a plan for Sanchez but I was wrong both times. Just seems to buy players and hope for the best
