Dear @nssfug, @URAuganda and @Mglsd_UG,
I’m informed with indisputable evidence that some institutions do not pay NSSF for their workers, and dodge PAYE by paying some of their employees in cash (especially foreigners, many of whom do not even have work permits but disguise as students). Others only get payment without any information on their specific gross pay (and no payslips), and therefore unable to tell if any deductions are made and how much. I believe you are also aware of all this, and the institutions concerned. Why are you so hard on some employers while letting others blatantly get away with the same issues! Why can’t you intervene for the vulnerable employees!

General Muhoozi Warns Kenya: “Quickly Give Us Access to the Indian Ocean”

Uganda’s First Son and military leader, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has echoed his father President Museveni’s recent remarks, insisting that Uganda deserves access to the Indian Ocean.

In a bold statement, Muhoozi said Kenya should “quickly give us access to the Indian Ocean,” warning that failure to honor this claim could lead to “very big problems in the future.”

He emphasized that Uganda has been “locked out for too long” and that the issue of ocean access is not just about trade it’s about national entitlement and sovereignty.

His remarks come just days after President Museveni hinted at potential regional tensions over Uganda’s landlocked status, saying the ocean “belongs to us” and that one day, “we must take it.”

We must warn any candidate, presidential or otherwise, who continuously flouts the electoral commission’s guidelines and tries to provoke security forces that we shall not stand for it. This indiscipline must stop. The security of the country will not be compromised merely because a particular candidate is campaigning. It doesn’t work like that.
