Estas dos nenas que ven siendo rescatadas son Romi y Lia Suissa, de 6 y 3 años.

Minutos antes, su mundo había desaparecido.

La mañana del 7 de octubre de 2023, sus padres, Dolev y Odaya Suissa, intentaron escapar de Sderot con ellas ante el ataque de Hamás.

Dolev fue baleado en la rotondas de salida de la ciudad teniendo a Romi en brazos y murió. Odaya quedó sola con las chicas.

Entonces apareció Amer Abu Sabila, un beduino israelí de 25 años que decidió ayudarlas. Las subió al auto e intentó ponerlas a salvo, por eso las llevó a la comisaría de la ciudad sin saber que ya había sido tomada por terroristas árabes que se hacen llamar palestinos

Cerca de la comisaría de Sderot fueron atacados nuevamente. Odaya y Amer fueron asesinados.

Romi y Lia quedaron escondidas dentro del vehículo, rodeadas de disparos.

Lo que muestra este video es lo que ocurrió después: Yair Avinoam las encontró, se acercó y es fuerte la frase en busca de seguridad de Romi a Yair,cuando le pregunta “ustedes son de israel” , ahí Yair le dijo que si y consiguió sacarlas con vida.

Dos nenas que esa mañana salieron de su casa con mamá y papá y, pocas horas después, habían quedado huérfanas.

Outrage in Israel after footage appeared to show a Palestinian sewage tanker dumping waste into Nahal Hebron, southwest of Otniel in Judea and Samaria.

Facebook user Maher Rayan uploaded the video before apparently deleting it. I geolocated the site to approximately 31.4304532, 35.0092455. Google Maps imagery shows another sewage tanker at the same discharge point.

The vehicle carries Palestinian plate 4 9812 L, registered in the Hebron area. A phone number painted on the tanker is linked online to Al Saeed Company for sewage tankers in al Dhahiriya, although its current ownership could not be independently confirmed.

Regarding this film.

1. “Naza” (נז״א) is Hebrew for collateral damage, or unintended civilian casualties. There would be no reason to assess, count or consider “Naza” if the intention weren’t to minimize or avoid it.

This is particularly difficult against an enemy like Hamas, for whom collateral damage means the same Palestinian civilian casualties Israel is trying to avoid.

2. Hamas doesn’t concern itself with assessing Israeli civilian casualties because civilians are among its intended targets. If they do count civilian casualties, it’s to measure success.

To avoid any misunderstanding, its terrorists filmed their atrocities and fire hundreds of indiscriminate rockets at Israel, where a third of the population are children.

3. The film quotes one intelligence officer claiming a strike was approved that could result in 500 deaths. Yet no such strike has ever been recorded or even claimed. To date, the deadliest day of this war remains October 7, 2023.

4. I don’t blame outsiders for their ignorance. Most of the liberal world has forgotten what it means to fight a war on the home front. Its wars are fought with secret commando missions, sterile air strikes and distant battles.

It is much easier to condemn the calculation that justifies an attack knowing innocent people may die when your own family isn’t under attack if you don’t make it.

5. The fact that a film like Naza can be made in Israel is itself a sign of a healthy democracy. Its writers and directors can accuse their own country and fellow citizens of grave wrongdoing and remain free to make their case.

One thing is guaranteed: we will never see a Palestinian film about Hamas’s atrocities on October 7, nor even an Arab one. Everyone knows why.

6. Freedom does not confer immunity from criticism and antipathy. The director and participants made the film intending to damage their country’s reputation.

They are entitled to make that choice. They are also expected to accept the opprobrium and consequences that come with it. Freedom to accuse does not mean freedom from being judged for the accusation.

The New York Times coverage of the Gaza-Israel war was grossly pro-Palestinian and anti-Israel, according to a peer-reviewed study. Jewish casualties were omitted or minimized while Palestinian casualties were amplified and misrepresented.

Yale University Professor Edieal Pinker published the review in the an academic journal Studies in Conflict & Terrorism. His peer-reviewed research quantitatively evaluated 1,559 New York Times articles published between October 7, 2023, and June 7, 2024, to assess potential narrative imbalances.

The study found that:

- 91% of the analyzed articles failed to mention Israeli casualties that occurred after October 7.

- 1,423 articles completely omitted mentions of both Israeli post-Oct. 7 casualties and Hamas combatant deaths.

- 50% of the articles did not reference the Israeli hostages held by Hamas during the fighting, and 41% omitted mentions of the Israeli casualties from the initial October 7 attack itself.

- Personal stories highlighting Palestinian and Lebanese suffering appeared on average two out of every three days. Comparable accounts of Israeli suffering unrelated directly to the October 7 events appeared in very few articles.

- The word "Israel" appeared 27,205 times across the dataset, compared to just 8,499 mentions of "Hamas," meaning Israel was mentioned more than three times as often. This statistical discrepancy places near-exclusive agency and responsibility on Israel while severely diminishing Hamas's role in sustaining the conflict.

Pinker concluded that these consistent editorial choices cultivated a dominant narrative portraying Israel as the sole aggressor facing few consequences beyond losing international sympathy, while Palestinians were predominantly framed as passive victims. He argues that the coverage deprives readers of a comprehensive understanding of the ongoing combat dynamics and the continuous nature of Israeli losses.

Following the initial release of the study data, The New York Times publicly defended its reporting, claiming it has covered the war with rigor and from all angles. Of course my commentary on their reporting shows that this defense is hot garbage.

The New York Times buried the Holocaust in the back pages and then doubled down on downplaying Jewish suffering after October 7. They are a disgusting business that should be boycotted.

Do you think there was even one person in that auditorium in Venice who, somewhere in the back of their mind, said to themselves, Wait a minute:

1) One side is holding 251 hostages, including children, grandparents, and parents.
2) It has just invaded and massacred defenseless civilians in Mongol-style fashion.
3) It has systematically turned one of the most beautiful places in the world into a fortress of hundreds of kilometers of tunnels used exclusively for warfare.
4) Its entire doctrine of warfare is built on erasing the fundamental distinction on which the laws of war rest: the distinction between combatants and non-combatants. In fact, its strategy depends on Israel being the only side bound by the laws of war.
5) It knows that Israel calculates the risk to civilians when planning military strikes, and therefore makes sure to surround itself with a minimum number of non-combatants in order to gain protection and cause Israel to call off attacks.
6) It uses mosques, hospitals, schools, and homes as weapons depots and centers of military activity.
7) There is a country, Egypt, with a border that refuses to allow people to leave the war zone. Yet instead of all the world's "humanitarians" pressuring Egypt to accept refugees fleeing a war zone, they call this "ethnic cleansing" and insist that people who are not combatants and do not want to be in a war zone must remain there, despite wanting to flee.

And on the other side, Israel:
a) Invests billions in obtaining intelligence that allows it to calculate, for each military target, how many non-combatants are likely to be killed if it is attacked.
b) Changed its calculations after the massacre regarding how many non-combatants may be put at risk or killed while still falling within the range of collateral damage permitted under the laws of war.
c) Following the massacre, decided to expand its definition of military targets to include, for example, an active Hamas member who is officially listed as "only" a police officer carrying a weapon.
d) Has lawyers who, for every strike, deliberate over whether the expected harm constitutes permissible collateral damage and whether the attack is justified under international law.

And isn't all of this rather strange behavior, and an extraordinary investment in intelligence and lawyers, for a country supposedly intent on carrying out the "indiscriminate killing of civilians/genocide"?
