@StuLoren Chicago. Has. A. Spending. Problem. Not a tax/revenue problem. 1 to 1.5 billion dollars go into the TIF black hole. No accountability at all with that money.
@StuLoren 1 to 1.5 billion dollars go into TIFs every year. Sucked into a black hole. Chicago definitely has the money to pay it's bills. It just doesn't want to.

@BarkosBite The City has massive amounts of valuable assets to lease or sell. You don't just get to walk into court and say, "Im bankrupt, Im not paying! "
@mrstealyourwig1 Approximately 65% of your tax bill is for CPS and the city colleges. The water, fire, and police departments aren't driving your massive increases.
@AJManaseer @jakescool @GovPritzker With all our "enviable" compensation, why aren't young people lined up to take these public safety jobs? We don't have a job comparable to any private sector jobs. Young people are making reasonable decisions in a free market that the "enviable" compensation isn't worth it.
@AJManaseer Brandon Johnson will absolutely win the next election. He will hang President Trump around the neck of anyone even remotely to the right of him. The most progressive candidate always wins in Chicago.
@FrenchOG3@TechnoBarbarism Love your insights, but I have to disagree with you on this one. If this question goes mainstream, maybe women will have a little humility in their relationships. I don't think men really expect women to bring anything of real substance to a relationship.
@JoshMoulton Stop being a whiner. If you see a problem, use the 311 app to report it. Potholes, down trees, missing signs, burned out street lights and traffic signals, abandoned cars. Be good citizen and take ownership of your city.
