@anothercugel @mulronie@skipiotr@shanooo92 ok i broadly defined chinese as one ethnicity, when it breaks down into multiple different ethnicities, because of how vast the country is
@mulronie @anothercugel @skipiotr@shanooo92 yes, as you can see by my examples, I mentioned Irish as an ethnic group. but you can also be Irish by nationality. for example a person born and raised in Ireland with Chinese parents is Chinese-irish, Chinese ethnicity, irish nationality
@anothercugel @skipiotr@shanooo92 what are you on about? with that logic, the world should be divided in 6-7 super nations based on race?! please look up “race vs ethnicity vs nationality” it’s not hard. i’m not going into the history of why ireland wanted independence, literally has nothing to do with this
@anothercugel @skipiotr@shanooo92 if you’re children are born and raised in japan, they are japanese by nationality. if both parents are ethnically japanese also, they are japanese by ethnicity also. if one parent is ethnically japanese and one is let’s say irish, they are mixed ethnicity. it’s really simple
