Interesting: D.C. mayoral candidate (and former councilmember) Vincent Orange is criticizing "premature media narratives" he says have made the contest a two-candidate race, as well as upcoming debates that have excluded a number of the candidates. (He cites @fox5dc here.)
T-minus 1 week until the DC Board of Elections begins automatically sending out mail-in ballots to all 476,212 registered DC voters!
55 mail-in drop boxes open from May 22-June 16
25 early in-person vote centers open from June 8-14
75 Election Day vote centers open on June 16
Happy May Day!
Every freedom the working class has is a result of socialism & organized labor.
Thatβs why the rich fight so hard against socialism. They realize their profit comes from exploiting labor.
Itβs critical we realize our liberation comes from fighting back together.
Weβre at the Youth Mayoral Candidate Forum with a bunch of our partners and weβre so proud of our young leaders facilitating tonight!
Take a look at this student-created guide about the candidates present: https://t.co/Dn9SnM1kBO
Testified at the SY26 Budget Oversight Hearing.
Too many decisions are missing the people theyβre meant to serve. If weβre serious about D.C.βs future, reform and modernization arenβt optional. Theyβre overdue.
Grateful for the opportunity to speak.

@BarackObama@rfscivics Mr. President, thank you for your diligence to the future of politics, your steadfast devotion to our evolution as a society will always be something to be admired and we're glad to see never faulter. Please next time you're in the District, I hope to be able to say hello!
The thing about the Streetcar is that, if the original plan had been done in full and done correctly, we would live in a transformed and inter-connected city.
The failure of it is emblematic of the mediocrity we've grown to accept from District leaders.
What could have been:
@conorjrogers You're exactly right, that "gap" between vision and delivery is not due to a lack of money, not to a lack of plans or a lack of execution.
It's a leadership issue.
We need a Standard to hold our government accountable to our quality of life's improvement.
#GrossForMayor
I appreciate that recognition. With a modernized government, we restore the standard of living people already believe they should have.
Not something new. Not something theoretical.
The standard this city has always been capable of delivering but hasnβt. #GrossForMayor

@jojopuppyfish @EleanorNorton@RepDonBeyer@RepThompson That's even worse then, why are they stepping in to get rid of a bike lane that isn't a safety concern or even an issue to traffic? There's no need for such a display.
