Second imp point to understand here,
T2 anterior rami (2nd ICN ) gives one communicating branch to T1 (First ICN).
T1 (1st ICN) gives 2 branches : One Large & one small.
Large branch joins C8 to form Lower Trunk (C8-T1) of BP.
Small branch of T1 Continues as 1st Anterior Cutaneous Nerve (ACN).
Anterior division of Lower Trunk (C8-T1) forms Medial Cord. MBCN is branch of MC with root value of (T1-T2)- representing T2-T1 Communication.
1st ICN do not give LCN branch.
ICBN is actually LCN branch of T2.
Whereas communication of T2 to T1 during origin is between main trunks of ICN.
Therefore , blocking cutaneous nerve (ICBN) with infiltration won't solve T2 Communication problem. For that separate field block in the form of infiltration is required over posterior arm.
