I’m sure there was underlying psychopathy, maybe it was a situation that couldn’t have been avoided, the horrendous child trauma did not help. So I do have empathy for her. The people who were supposed to ensure she became productive failed her.

She had severe trauma, abuse and neglect in childhood and was dx with bipolar disorder. No it’s not an excuse at all, but one can understand how these are intertwined.
